Flamme Rouge

Also on Friday night, we played Flamme Rouge. It was the first time I was able to get the game out with friends. We had a three player game. I thought it was fun. I never could get in the lead, or even get close; though all in all it was good race. I'm eager to play again.

I've played Pandemic solo and with two players, but this past Friday was my first time with four players. It felt like a different game; the same some ways, but so much more social, with lots of back-and-forth.  Having a full player count with friends who were really into it helped the "feel" of the game because there were just more people voicing concern at the outbreaks, or groaning or applauding at the card draws.  I really enjoyed it.

Tonight at Heine Bros. Coffee: Pandemic (we won, on the "easy" setting) and two games of Carcassonne.

Afterward, a screening of "Knives Out" at Baxter. Really fun movie.

Star Wars: Armada

Some friends brought over their Star Wars: Armada game yesterday, so I got to try it for the first time. It was lots of fun. I controlled one star destroyer, and had the advantage of not being a member of my friends' family (the two sons, fielding the Rebel ships, ganged up on the other star destroyer, controlled by their dad.) Anyway--after we mixed it up a while, my destroyer was the only not not reduced to drifting space junk.
