Last night I moved the Festiva over to my neighbor's driveway. He is buying it from me, and gave me the first half of the money last night. He's a mechanic, and wants it for experimenting with alternative fuel systems. "If figured if I blew it up, it wouldn't be that big a deal," he said. I spent a couple hours this weekend cleaning it out. Although we haven't switched the title yet, for all practical purposes, I no longer have the red Festiva.
Did you buy a new car already? Or are you "going green" and leaving car culture behind altogether?
ReplyDeleteI know it was hard. Spencer had a love for an old Corolla that I thought couldn't be beat - until I met you and Kim and the Festiva. I'm very proud of you :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I don't know if you are still really "you" without the Festiva. I am glad it is going to a place where it might do the world some good.
ReplyDeleteGeo: We have a minivan. It's the opposite of leaving car culture behind. And you know what? TARC sucks. I'm not yet 100% sure, but I think that if I got on a bus at the bus stop around the corner, it is actually a total impossibility for me to get to work before lunch.
ReplyDeleteJenny: You are proud of me for suffering through this family tragedy? You are a strange and heartless woman.
Katlike Kousin: I am not really me without the Festiva, but I am making a new me. The new me will really really dig fast cars and V8 engines. I M soon 2 B 2 fast n 2 fury S.
