Here is another house drawing that I finished a few weeks ago. This is 5 x 7", smaller than the others I've done. I don't want you to get the idea, based on all these posts, that I've been unusually productive. I've just been saving up. |

You continue to amaze me, my son.
ReplyDeleteMark, with the last few house drawings I thought "well, that is really amazing - the best one yet." Then, with the last one I thought you really outdid yourself-IT was the best one yet. Now you draw this one...even more detailed and beautiful...you do continue to truly amaze. I stand in awe.
ReplyDeleteOk, I don't know where my other comment went, but I was interrupted, so perhaps it didnt' post properly.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I continue to be impressed by the quality of the work. Are you using brushes, or pen nibs?
The sepia quality of the ink is very nice, and actually adds to the photographic quality of the images you are producing. Very good detail and perspective, also.
Good job!
It seems like it would be so satisfying to have an object in front of you and actually being able to paint or draw it on a canvas like that. Sort of like recreating it, and freeze-framing it forever.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind comments. K, I am using both a fine sable brush and dip pens.
ReplyDeleteI'm running low on ink, so I'll have to make some more soon, I think.
