Worked stone?

 I found this out at Camp Shantituck.  I looks like knapped stone to me.  Perhaps it's a Native American relic.  It was sitting right on top of the ground in a gravelly area, so maybe it came in with the gravel, or maybe it's residue from a recent knapping demonstration, or maybe someone found it elsewhere and was showing it off to some Girl Scout friends and lost it.
