One highlight of this past weekend was a visit from Grandma Meki, Minimeki, Mekimeki, and Mrs. Meki. What an adorable bunch! Minimeki is especially cute when she looks at you, smiling broadly, then bursts into fearful tears when she realizes she has no idea who or what you are. We enjoyed her visit to our ogre cave more than she did.

  1. Sorry about not commenting for so long...we were away for a while on the west coast of Florida where the in-laws were staying for a week. Unlike YOUR wonderful parents, my in-laws did not volunteer themselves to take our shrieking fiend-blob for a weekend, an afternoon or even an hour. I pleaded with them to take the child for only a few minutes so that I might have time to read your blog, but to no avail. I have time for typing this comment now only because Sharon has taken the child outside in the stroller for a few minutes while the ant-man exterminates our household pests.

Such is the life I lead, or, as the French say, "The gander wanders the forest in ease."

  2. An ant-man exterminating your household pests, you say? I picture a large man in a white button-down shirt, but with a huge black ant head with waggling antennae, and with dripping jaws, chasing Arlo all around the house.
